ION EXCHANGE SYSTEM & REGENERATION

IONEX 1 & 2 | IONEX 1K & 2K

The IONEX 1 & 2 and IONEX 1K/ & 2K (circuit) ion exchange systems are rinse water treatment systems for low-load rinse water from the manufacturing process of PCBs. The systems are mainly used for cleaning rinse water from etching and development processes.

Ion exchange systems are widely used in wastewater treatment. In chemical or electrochemical process stages, the rinse water accumulates metals and heavy metals. The resin-filled filter columns of the ion exchange systems are flushed with the water to be purified, continuously cleaned and reused. This contributes to an increase in the quality of the circulating water and significant water savings.

Special ion exchange resins can be used to bind or recover precious metals, heavy metals or cyanides from the waste water and regenerate them.

Ion exchange resins

We offer all types of ion exchangers:

Cation exchanger

Ion exchange resin that absorbs positively charged ions (cations) from the water and exchanges them for protons (H+) or sodium ions (Na+) is exchanged.

Softener resin (which is used for water softening systems) falls into this category

In these ion exchange resins, negatively charged ions (anions) are absorbed from the water and exchanged for hydroxide (OH-) or chloride ions (Cl-) exchanged.

This ion exchanger is a special resin. It consists of a mixture of cation resin and anion resin. As a result, it absorbs both cations and anions from the water, allowing the water to be fully demineralized.

All positively charged ions (cations) are replaced by protons (H+) and all negatively charged ions (anions) are replaced by hydroxide ions (OH-) exchanged.

This is a collection of different ion exchange resins, all of which have been designed for special purposes and are often significantly more expensive than regular resin types
