FUNCTIONAL SURFACE TREATMENT

Pre-cleaning-degreasing

Oils and greases are used in the treatment and processing of materials, especially metals. These act as a separating agent between the base material and the coating. For further galvanic surface treatment, these residues can have a disruptive effect or prevent the process. For this reason, the workpieces must be degreased before coating.

In addition to the pre-treatment tanks, the pre-treatment systems for drum or rack goods can be equipped with boil-off degreasing, electrolytic degreasing and cascade rinsing. Suitable edge extraction devices or extraction hoods ensure a clean room environment.

Pre-cleaning ultrasound

Ultrasonic cleaning of components enables the efficient, gentle and fast removal of particulate contamination, e.g. particles, chips and dust. The effect of the sound waves means that the use of cleaning chemicals can be reduced and components with complex structures and areas that are difficult to access, such as drill holes or cracks, can be cleaned effectively.

Pre-cleaning - pickling

Pickling removes scale and other impurities from metal workpieces. Pickling sustainably increases corrosion resistance. After professional pickling, surfaces and weld seams are metallically bright and free of scale layers and tarnish.

The COMPACTA range of appliances is adapted to the different pickling processes. Pickling can be carried out chemically, by immersion or anodically by ablation under the influence of direct current in specially equipped systems.

The following metals can be pretreated and pickled on the systems:

  • Titanium and titanium alloys
  • etc.
